Born in New Jersey, I received a B.S. in Accounting from Fordham University in New York and became approved to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in 1979 by the California Board of Accountancy. My early research into tax codes led me to specialize in IRS practices and procedures. In particular, I focused on the area of "collection" which subsequently led me into the tax resolution business. Beyond our traditional accounting and business management practice, I am the founder and the director of The Tax Resolution Institute.
The tax resolution arena is comprised of many specialties including Offers in Compromise, Subordination Agreements, Installment Agreements, Bulk Sales, Trust Fund Recovery defense, the analysis of Dischargability of taxes in bankruptcy, and obtaining release of tax liens. These issues apply at both the federal and state levels.
I am approved by:
The State Bar of California
The California Board of Accountancy
In addition, I have been approved by the IRS to provide continuing professional education in the area of tax resolution to: Attorneys, Certified Public Accountants and Enrolled Agents. For these seminars for professionals, I wrote the textbook, The Ultimate Guide To Tax Resolution.
Our firm has a unique blend of skills, including accounting, taxation, and business consulting. These skills have allowed me and members of my firm to help people and organizations achieve their objectives through the strategic use of financial information.
In addition to our specialization in tax resolution, the firm also provides other financial services such as business management, financial reporting and tax services for:
High level financial groups / Trusts, Closely held entities
High net worth individuals - tax minimization, and Start-ups
I am a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
